National Safety Apparel: FR Short Coat and FR Long Coat Sizing

print

Short and long coats by National Safety Apparel feature a generous cut and quality construction. Short coats are 32" long, and long coats are 49" long, for maximum coverage, and are available in sizes SM to 5X. Below is a sizing guide to ensure an accurate fit when ordering. Please note that different manufacturers size their garments based on varying measurements. For correct ordering, it is absolutely necessary that you use the correct size chart. This sizing chart applies to all C04 short coats and long coats or arc flash kits that include the C04 short or long coats.

Garments are not preshrunk, please allow for average 5% shrinkage on these garments.

Notes for a successful fit in the chest and sleeve area from FRSafety.com:

  • Take your chest measurement around the fullest part of the chest with arms down: just under the arms and across the shoulder blades.
  • Take your chest measurement while wearing the outfit that you would wear when donning your coat. If you will wear a sweatshirt beneath your flame resistant long coat or jacket, be sure to measure your chest while wearing it. Be sure to consider what clothes will be worn in the coldest of climates.
  • If your waist, mid-section or hip area is larger than your chest, measure at your widest point to ensure a proper fit. If your chest measures at 36", but your mid-section measures at 42", be sure to order the larger size.
  • Measure sleeve length from the middle of the neck across the top of the shoulder to the middle of the back of the hand. Sleeve length rarely does not correspond with a chest measurement.
  • For a roomy fit, order garments a size larger than your chest measurement.
