Double Layer FR Balaclava Hood

This National Safety Apparel arc flash hood features a double-layer Carbon/Kevlar construction. It’s NFPA 70E compliant with an arc rating of 27 cal/cm² and an HRC level 3. Featured on this knit balaclava is a longer bib for extended protection, and a rounded eyehole that can be worn either above or below the nose.

Level 3 knit hood features:

Two layers of knit Carbon / Kevlar

Very Pleased


I found the double layer carbon/kevlar balaclava hood to be comfortable and light weight. I also liked that it had a very good arc flash rating and the price was just right. I showed it to another plant manager and he wants to order them for his operators.

Arc Flash Balaclava


This balaclava fits well and is comfortable under a hard hat/shield. I am impressed with the cal/cm rating, as it is the highest I've seen in a balaclava. Good accessory to a full arc flash outfit!

Comfortable


This balaclava is the most comfortable of any I've worn. Heavyweight but breathes well. Washes well without lumping up.
