NFPA 70E: Electrical Safety in the Workplace is a standard of the National Fire Protection Association that addresses electrical safety requirements for employees. NFPA 70E addresses those electrical safety requirements for employees workplaces that are necessary for practical safeguarding of employees in their pursuit of gainful employment.

Garments that claim compliance to NFPA 70E should be labeled as compliant, and should feature an arc rating on the label. The arc rating of a garment determines the hazard risk category, as per NFPA 70E. For further information, see our article What is NFPA 70E?.
